PORTABLE, CLINICAL GRADE LASER DEVICE FOR HAIR LOSS.
The NEW USB Stimu-Lase Cap is a portable dome-shaped laser device specifically designed for the management of hair loss in both men and women. The laser device consists of 276 laser diodes, each with 5mW of power and can be worn under any hat or cap for about half an hour every second day, or otherwise as recommended by your Millennium Clinic’s hair care professional.
Powered by a rechargeable battery pack, the Stimu-Lase capTM power source can be clipped on to your clothing or slipped into a pocket, making it simple to use in the comfort of your home or car.
How does laser hair therapy work?
The hair growth cycle consists of three phases: Active growth (anagen phase), resting period (telogen phase) and shedding (catagen phase). Hair loss in androgenic alopecia depends on a testosterone derivative in the skin, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Low level laser therapy increases blood flow in the scalp and stimulates metabolism in Anagen, catagen or telogen follicles, resulting in the stimulation of the production of anagen hair.
- The photons of light act on cytochrome C oxidase leading to the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This is converted to cyclic AMP in the hair follicle cells, releasing energy and stimulating metabolic processes necessary for hair growth.
- Release of nitric oxide from cells leads to increased vascularisation to the scalp distributing nutrients and oxygen to the hair roots.
- Excessive build-up of DHT is prevented.
